If you had told Mr. Z (a.k.a. Steve) five or six years ago that he would be writing his own blog, he’d have laughed in your face. Blogging was the last thing on his mind at that time. In fact, he openly ridiculed the idea. But for Steve, blogging was like eating vegetables was for many of us. He refused it at first, but once he tried, he found (miracle of miracles!) that he enjoyed this form of writing.
As a kid, Steve liked to dazzle his classmates by writing long, rambling stories that usually led to a humorous (or so he thought) end. That early love for writing was all but squelched by his junior high days. Writing became a non-existent part of his life, only revived whenever he took a class that required him to put pen to paper. Since moving to the middle school at Singapore American School, he has rekindled his interest in writing. While he spends a good deal of time banging his head against a dictionary looking for just the right word, he does find the writing process quite enjoyable. When he’s not writing, he spends a good deal of time sweatily searching out the best Singapore hawker food with his lovely wife and super sweet children, a girl and a boy who remind him what’s truly important in life: dessert.
So, herein you will find the current thinking, the deep ideas, and utter ramblings of a novice - but evolving - blogger. Enjoy! And feel free to leave a comment or two.
